Dear fellow Radon Professionals,
The MARP office has had numerous questions about the recent court ruling. Our board has reached to MDH to seek clarification on the system tags for mitigation.
We just received an email from Josh Kerber at the Minnesota Department of Health. He says “Do not begin using your system tags at this time. MDH will notify affected parties when there’s an update to the Court Order.”
It is important to note, that while the state cannot enforce the licensing act on mitigations on existing homes, the law still applies to radon testing and mitigation in commercial buildings.
For additional updates on this issue and other radon news you can check out the MARP new blog (here)
We understand there will be a lot of questions about the ruling and possible next steps. We will be announcing a general membership meeting in the first 2 weeks of January.
In the meantime members in good standing can always call the MARP office with questions.
MARP is committed to being the voice of the mitigation contractors and testers in our industry. We cannot do it without your help. Please consider teaming up of other industry professionals and join MARP today.
