    Dear fellow Radon Professionals,
    We here at MARP are excited about the new energy in our association.  We continue to be the only voice for Radon Mitigation Contractors and Radon Testers in Minnesota.  This week we want to welcome several new members and give you an update on the Radon Licensing Act:

    When Don’t I Need A Radon License:No license is required for the following:

    • Testing radon concentrations in a building that you own or lease
    • Installing a mitigation system in a building that you own or lease
    • Installing radon control systems in newly constructed homes, prior to a certificate of occupancy being issued
    • Providing radon testing devices or information for general education purposes
    • A building official or that person’s designee
    • Hardware stores that sell test kits
    • Mitigation technicians if they are supervised on-site by a licensed radon professional

    Still Waiting…
    We are still waiting for a ruling from the Ramsey County Judge on our lawsuit against MDH and the Radon Licensing Act.  With the law set to take effect on January 1, 2019, we expect the Judge to rule on the temporary injuction within the next week or two.  We will keep you posted.  MARP members in good standing can always call the office to get more information.

    Radon Mitigation System Tags Now Available:
    The Minnesota Department of Health has launced the Radon Licensing Act website.  You can now order the $75 system tags on their (WEBSITE)
